Thien Ho Miao Village is the largest Miao village in the world.
In Chinese, Thien Ho Miao Village or Tay Giang Miao Village means "village of thousands of Miao families". The village has a history of more than a thousand years with nearly 6,000 people, of which 99% are indigenous people.Qianhu Miao Village is also known as the largest Miao village in China and the world. More than 40 years ago, Miao Village was a poor village. In 1982, when China gradually opened up its economy and prioritized growth, the village was designated by the provincial government to be developed into a tourist destination because of its spectacular scenery. Today, the village is a top destination for tourists who want to escape the hustle and bustle of life.

The unique feature of the village is the more than 1,200 wooden houses built close together on the mountainside, facing the Baishui River and without using nails or rivets in construction. Brown wood built on green mountains, dark roofs, and vast terraced fields below make Thien Ho Mieu village praised by many tourists as "beautiful as a picture". At night, all the houses in the village are lit up, creating a shimmering, magical scene, everywhere is bustling with the singing of the boys and girls of the village, they sing and dance. Dressed in traditional costumes and dancing to ethnic tunes, they always smile to welcome and have fun with tourists. The night in Tay Giang is truly passionate and warm with human affection.Miao houses usually have three floors. The first floor is used for storing tools and raising livestock. The second floor is used as a living room, bedroom, kitchen, and space for resting and embroidery, while the top floor is used as a warehouse for storing grain and household items. Nowadays, most of the houses have been converted into business locations and guest houses. Many ancient houses are more than 1,700 years old.

The typical drink in Tay Giang Mieu Trai is rice wine, which tastes quite similar to sticky rice wine and jar wine in Vietnam. The Miao people have a very unique way of inviting guests to drink wine. Visitors just need to sit at the table, the Miao girls will come to sing and invite them to drink. Wine is poured gradually from top to bottom until the customer can drink no more.
